Each unit includes a heavy-gauge steel backing plate, a high-torque electromagnet, premium brake shoes with friction linings, an automatic adjuster mechanism, and all necessary return springs and hardware. The backing plate itself is stamped from thick, corrosion-resistant steel and features a rust-inhibitive powder-coated finish. Precision alignment of the mounting bosses ensures the magnet sits at the correct angle relative to the brake drum, providing maximum magnetic grip and consistent braking force. The brake shoes are precision-ground to ensure contact with the drum surface from the first application, minimizing the break-in period and ensuring immediate stopping power.

At the heart of the electric braking system is our high-amperage electromagnet. Encased in a durable, waterproof composite housing, it delivers strong, progressive braking force proportional to the input from your trailer brake controller. The assembly includes color-coded lead wires with sealed connectors, protecting against road spray and corrosion for a reliable electrical connection year after year.
